St. Matthew’s Episcopal School average student-teacher ratio is 16:1. All Pre-Kindergarten through seventh grade teachers are degreed and qualified teachers and all faculty members are encouraged to pursue continuing professional development. The current enrollment is 254 students from 186 families.
Students eat lunch in the Parish Hall or under the oaks at the picnic tables.
A local restaurant currently provides the lunch service Monday through Thursday. Purchase of lunch is optional, and students may also bring lunch from home.
Lunch must be purchased by the month. Menu calendars and order forms are sent home monthly; prices vary according to how many school days are in each month. Pizza is served every Friday. Students may purchase pizza, a snack and a drink. Pizza must be purchased by the month.
There is no public bus transportation to St. Matthew’s. Parents are encouraged to carpool.
"Rise and Shine” provides child care from 7:00 am until 7:30 am on days school is in session. “St. Matt’s Mates” is an after school program from dismissal until 5:30 pm on full school days (not available on days with noon dismissal). In keeping with the philosophy of St. Matthew’s Episcopal School, “Rise and Shine” and “St. Matt’s Mates” are child care programs which provide a structured opportunity for students' continued development of mind, body and spirit in a secure and healthy environment. Students utilizing before-and/or after- school child care services must register annually. Child care registration is $15 per year for each child. Registration forms are sent home in August.
